The Pittmans...
This is a photograph of my immediate family standing
in front of our Chevy Bel Air, circa 1954 or 55.
(from left to right)
Adell Viola (my mother), Me (with the banana), Cecilia Lynn (my older sister),
Mona Lee (my younger sister), and Cecil Wilson (my father)

Here's the only other picture of just the five of us that I can remember...
a West Texas farm couple with their little group of ragamuffins...

My Siblings...
This is a picture of the Pittman kids (from left to right)...
me, Daniel Leon, my younger sister, Mona Lee, and my older sister, Cecilia Lynn,
circa 1953 or 54, about five miles outside of the town of Haskell, Texas,
which is about 54 miles north of Abilene, the closest "metropolis"!
By the way, the full version of this picture gives a good idea of
how far "out in the sticks" we were on that farm.

PIG Farm?
Growing up on the farm, we had to find our fun in simple things.
Here's a picture of Cece and me as we happily wallowed in the mud like little pigs
whenever the front yard flooded. If you click on the image to see the
larger picture you will clearly see the "mud-happy" grins on our faces!
My younger sister, Mona, decided to stay dry on the porch on this particular day.

All dressed up...
Here are me, my sister, Cecilia, and my cousin, Betty Ford sometime in the late 1950's.
(No...not THAT Betty Ford, but that WAS her name...it's Wilson now)
We were somewhere in Texas that I don't remember.

Fashion...Innocence or Ignorance?
And here is a photo taken of my dad and and my sisters and me
in San Diego in the early 1960's.
You really should click on this image to see the complete photo.
It demonstrates the fashion statements that a farm family can make in the "big city".
